This year the Entrepreneurship Division is offering a Late Career PDW Workshop for faculty from all Divisions who are "PhD+20 years" and older. It will take place on Saturday, August 11, from 10-12 am at the Hyatt Regency's Toronto Room. This year's effort will be structured along the lines of a room-full of breakout sessions, with each table set with one presenter, who will introduce a topic and engage in Q&A with fellow participants. These sessions are scheduled to last 20 minutes, so that participants can get a broad range of thoughts during the event. Our aim is to bring together AOM members from a broad range of perspectives and institutions to share insights with late career faculty on the following nine topics [and their presenters]: (1) Getting Back on Track: You didn't think it would be so easy to stop writing, did you? [Ralph Hanke], (2) The Boomers Retire from Academe [Barbara Bird], (3) Aging Faculty in the Digital World [Zoltan Acs], (4) Writing for books and the web [Jerome Katz], (5) The Last Great Work? Musings on Ways to Climb Everest [William Gartner], (6) What's a CASS and Why Senior Scholars Should Care [Bob Ford], (7) An Entrepreneurial Approach to Designing your Later Stage Career [Candida Brush], (8) Making an Impact Through Community Engagement [Kimberly Eddleston and Roland Kidwell], (9) Changing Tracks: Moving to Administrative Work in Your Career and Beyond [Scott Safranski]. Pre-registration is required for this session. To register online, please visit secure.aom.org/PDWReg.
