    Strategic Management Faculty Position

    The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to hire one senior
    professor (full professor or associate professor) in strategy to begin
    August 2013 with the College of Business Administration (CBA), subject to
    final budget approval. UIC is a major research university located near the
    heart of Chicago’s business community, just minutes from the downtown “Loop”
    and Lake Michigan. UIC is situated on a 240-acre campus and is the largest
    university in Chicago, with over 27,000 students, and the most diverse in
    the Midwest. The CBA at UIC is the largest provider of undergraduate
    business education in Chicago. We also have full-time, evening, and Saturday
    MBA programs, two specialized master’s programs in accounting and
    information sciences, as well as four PhD programs (OB/HR, Marketing, MIS,
    Business Statistics).The CBA is AACSB accredited with 2,200 undergraduate,
    700 MBA and 40 Ph.D. students. The undergraduate business program is ranked
    #1 in Chicago (U.S. News & World Report), the entrepreneurship programs are
    in the top 25 nationally (Princeton Review), and the interdisciplinary
    product development curriculum is an AACSB-award winner. For additional

    To be considered for this position, applicants should be recognized scholars
    in the field of strategy as reflected in publications in highly regarded
    scientific journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of
    Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Strategic
    Management Journal, as well as evidence of the research having an impact on
    the field, as indicated from citation counts. Requirements include an earned
    doctorate in management or a related discipline, research publications
    commensurate with rank, and evidence of teaching excellence and commitment
    to service. Salary will be competitive with leading public research
    universities.
