Best corporate governance practices have been widely adopted by public firm around the globe to enhance the economic and social performances of organizations. However, the dark sides of the practices have been increasingly reported to undermine organizational meaningfulness. Join us as we explore and discuss these unintended consequences.
Part I (3:30-5:30): An Overview of the Topic

Part II (5:30-6:30): Roundtable Workshop
(Please submit proposal by July 5)
In Part I of the PDW, experts will provide an overview of corporate governance's unintended consequences (6x15mins = 90 mins) followed by a plenary Q&A (30 mins).
In Part II, experts and authors will interact in small-group roundtables to discuss specific topics related to the PDW (60 mins).
Part I is open to all attendees and does not require submission of a proposal.
To attend Part II, please submit a proposal for review by July 5.
Proposal Submission: Please send a brief overview of your research topic and how it relates to the PDW's theme. Please limit your submission to 1 single-spaced page of written text and indicate whether it can be placed into one of the following categories: the dark side of CG, shareholder activism, transferring governance practices across borders, governance and politics, or other.
