The Department of Management at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of Strategic Management. The appointment begins in August 2012. Teaching responsibilities include the capstone undergraduate and graduate strategic management courses, as well as opportunities to teach in secondary areas such as business ethics, international management, entrepreneurship, analytical methods, and organizational behavior. On-going scholarly activity and publication in peer-reviewed journals is expected.
Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business is accredited by AACSB, and is one of the largest undergraduate business schools in the country with over 4,500 students. There are several opportunities for new faculty to conduct cross-disciplinary research, as well as contribute to one of our centers of excellence (i.e.: Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Innovation, Center for Sustainable Business Practices, the Global Business Center). Qualified applicants will have a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Management, completed by August 2012, and experience teaching in the Strategic Management area. Applicants should also have a strong potential for success in scholarly research. Review of applications will start on September 15, 2011 and will continue until the position is filled.
