Guide participants on how to learn more about social network analysis
Workshop Format:
We'll begin with an introduction on what is distinctive about social network theories, followed by an overview of the typical individual, group, and organization-level topics that management researchers have examined from a network perspective. Then we will introduce the PDW participants to different social network analysis tools to show them some of the basic types of analyses that are typically used in management research. Finally, we'll conclude with a discussion of the most promising areas for social network research likely to emerge in the next few years, and provide guidance on how to learn more about social network analysis.
