    Faculty Position Announcement:

    The College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
    is seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty member in the area of
    Entrepreneurship. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant
    Professor. We seek a colleague with a record of or the potential for
    excellent research who can teach and contribute in other ways to newly
    developed Entrepreneurship programs at the undergraduate and MBA levels, as
    well as other content areas in the College as appropriate.

    The successful applicant should hold a Ph.D. or DBA from an AACSB College of
    Business in entrepreneurship or a College of Business discipline, or related
    area. We also will consider Ph.D. or DBA applicants who fully expect to
    complete their degree by August 2012. Applicants for the position should
    have evidence of scholarly interest in the area of entrepreneurship and an
    interest in teaching entrepreneurship, or related areas, at both the
    undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to those
    candidates who have a demonstrated evidence of scholarly research
    productivity and teaching in the area of Entrepreneurship.

    Under the leadership of Dean Donde Plowman and Associate Deans Kathy Farrell
    and Ravi Sohi, the research, teaching, and engagement missions of the
    College have been significantly refocused to align with the university?s
    entrance into the Big Ten. Business Week ranked UNL?s MBA program 4th in the
    country among part-time MBA programs. The college continues to build on and
    further develop its research strength. Increased support for research and
    close proximity to thriving business communities of Omaha and Lincoln help
    advance the college?s research goals. The college prides itself in being an
    open and collaborative community.

    The Center for Entrepreneurship is building a focus on fast-growth firms and
    initial public offerings through the work of Dr. Theresa M. Welbourne, who
    has recently joined the management faculty and who is Director of the
    Center. In addition to a research stream on fast-growth firms, she also
    brings an emphasis on leadership / HRM and entrepreneurship. These areas of
    work provide a data-rich environment for candidates interested in doing
    research and publishing on these topic areas.
