Assistant/Associate Professor of Strategic Management
The Management Department at St. Cloud State University seeks applicants
for one probationary (tenure track) position, Assistant/Associate Professor
of Strategic Management, to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in
strategic management and related specialties.
St. Cloud State University (SCSU) is a comprehensive state university with
nearly 16,000 students. SCSU is located in St. Cloud Minnesota, a growing
community, approximately 60 miles northwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota. St.
Cloud State University's students share a 137-year heritage of excellence
and opportunity at the University's campus on the Mississippi River.

around the world to prepare to excel in business, communication, health
care, education, and a wide array of other fields.
The G. R. Herberger College of Business offers ten undergraduate majors and
a Master of Business Administration degree. The College has a strong
reputation as one of only three colleges of business in Minnesota which is
accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College
prides itself on its high-quality teaching and aims to prepare students for
successful careers in business, nonprofit organizations, or government and
to encourage responsible participation and leadership in society. The
College awards approximately 600 undergraduate and 40 graduate degrees each
year. The College of Business is home to a full-time faculty of 70 and a
student body of some 3,000 undergraduate and M.B.A. students. The
successful candidate will join a collegial faculty of 16 in the Management
Department, five of whom primarily teach strategic management, the College
of Business capstone course.
Formal Responsibilities of the position include :
* Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management and
other management courses.
* Conducting scholarly activities in Strategic Management consistent with
AACSB-International accreditation.
* Continued preparation and study in Management.
* Contribution to student growth and development, including student
advising.
* Participation in service activities to the university and community,
including departmental, college, and/or university committee assignments.
Position Qualifications include:
* Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business Administration, Management or a closely
related field from an AACSB?International accredited school required; a
focus in Strategic Management is strongly desired. ABD in management with
completion within one year from an AACSB accredited school will be
considered.
* Evidence of ability to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate
Strategic Management courses.
* evidence of ability to teach effectively in other management courses will
be given consideration.
* Evidence of ability to conduct scholarly activities in Management; a
Strategic Management focus is strongly desired.
* Evidence of contributions to student growth and development is desired.
* Evidence of service to the university and community is desired
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach and work
with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Copies of research publications or letters of acceptance of journal
articles within the last five years will be required prior to a campus
visit. Finalists will be asked to make a teaching presentation and a
