Lowder Eminent Scholar and Professor
Entrepreneurship
Position and Qualifications: Auburn University, Auburn, AL: The
Department of Management invites applications and nominations for a
faculty position (pending funding) as Lowder Eminent Scholar and
Professor of Entrepreneurship starting in Fall Semester, 2006. A Ph.D.
in a business-related field with established credentials in the field of
entrepreneurship that would warrant appointment to an endowed chair
position is required. Applicants must have the academic record of
accomplishment in research, instruction and outreach that would support
appointment at the full professor level. Previous industry experience
is preferred.
The successful candidate will provide leadership as program director
for the Entrepreneurship and Family Business program, as well as conduct
quality research related to entrepreneurship. In addition, this
position will involve instructional responsibilities at both the
graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as with outreach efforts. To
be considered for this endowed chair, it is expected that the candidate
have a strong record of proven leadership and accomplishment in the
field. The selected candidate will be required to meet eligibility
requirements to work in the U.S. on the date the appointment is
scheduled to begin and must be able to communicate in English.
