The Management and Organization Department at the University of Washington
(Seattle) invites applications from qualified candidates for a senior
lecturer position to teach strategic management and/or entrepreneurship and
innovation management. This position will be based on a three-year
renewable contract.
Responsibilities include teaching seven quarter courses per year primarily
in our MBA and Executive MBA programs. There may also be opportunities to
teach in various non-degreed executive programs for additional
compensation. Qualifications for the position are: (1) an advanced degree,
and (2) evidence of effective teaching at the MBA and Executive MBA level.
The University of Washington is located in Seattle and is consistently
ranked as one of the top three research universities in the world in terms
of grant monies received. The Business School is well known for its MBA
program (most recent ranking of 18 by U.S.News), as well as undergraduate
and PhD programs (both have also been consistently rated in the top 20). In
addition, Seattle is a beautiful place to live with outstanding
opportunities for both cultural and recreational activities. It also has a
vibrant business community with organizations like Amazon, Starbucks,
Boeing, Microsoft and Weyerhaeuser having close and important ties to the
University and the Business School. The Puget Sound Region is highly
