CALLS FOR SUBMISSIONS
2011 BPS OUTSTANDING DISSERTATION AWARD
The BPS Division will sponsor the Wiley Blackwell Outstanding Dissertation Award in Business Policy and Strategy again in 2011. Any doctoral dissertation may be entered if: (1) the dissertation addresses topics in the area of business policy and strategic management, (2) the dissertation was completed between February 1, 2010 and January 31, 2011, (3) the entrant's doctoral degree was awarded during that period, and (4) the dissertation was not previously submitted for consideration for this award. A dissertation may be submitted to other divisions simultaneously if it fits within each division's domain statement. The BPS domain statement can be found at: www.bpsdiv.org/html/domain_stmt.html. Interested persons must make their entry by submitting the following documents via e-mail to Nicholas Argyres at argyres@wustl.edu: (a) a one-page abstract of the dissertation, and (b) a ten-page, double-spaced summary of the dissertation. A BPS committee will evaluate these summaries and invite a subset of entrants to submit their complete dissertations in March 2011.
Submissions must be received by Monday, February 14, 2011. Submissions by fax will not be accepted. In order to facilitate compliance with the BPS conflict of interest policy and the blind review process, please remove any author identification from your dissertation summary and indicate in your e-mail your current university affiliation, the name of the university granting your degree, a list of your dissertation committee members, and the affiliation of any outside dissertation committee members.
