Berlin University of Technology (TU Berlin) is a state-supported institution located in Berlin. The predecessor of TU Berlin were founded in 1770, and unified in 1879 into the Royal Technical College of Berlin. Nowadays the University serves an international student population of approximately 32,000. Berlin is the Capital of Germany and offers excellent consulting and teaching opportunities.
Position: A tenure-track position as a Full Professor of Strategic Management, i.e. Strategic Leadership and Global Management. The position will begin in the fall semester of 2006. Salary Class is W3.
Assignment/Tasks: Representing the subject of Strategic Management and Global Business in teaching and research. The scopes in terms of content are concepts and methods in strategic leadership from the point of global perspectives. Teaching will be courses in: Strategic Management and Global Business mainly for students of industrial engineering, engineering and science, in the new bachelor and master programs. International and practice oriented cooperation are especially desired. Actively participation on academic self-administration is expected.
Qualification: Compliance of the appeal prerequisites
according §100 BerlHG (
www.hu-berlin.de/hub/fakten/berlhg110.htm; bulletin will be send if desired). Ph.D. in Management from an AACSB-accredited business program is helpful. Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and research are required. Preference may be given to candidates with at least three years of successful teaching experience and particularly, an excellent track record of refereed publications. More Relevant business experience will also be helpful.
