    BPS Mid-Career Workshop Announcement

So, you're going to get tenure? Or perhaps you just received it. How do you feel? Do you want to sit down and take a long break? Write a grant? A book? Now that your beautiful dissertation is published and you are a big success, what about that next big project? Where will the data come from? Where will you find time with all those MBA's clamoring at your door? Fear not! The BPS Mid-Career Workshop is the answer.

The Mid-Career Workshop is your opportunity to gather with a panel of distinguished BPS senior faculty - folks who were once where you are now - and learn their secrets. You will also be able to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this unique career stage with others in your cohort.

If you are a mid-career scholar interested in joining us, please let us know. Details about the workshop and the application procedures are provided below.

The Business Policy and Strategy Division will sponsor a workshop for mid-career BPS faculty with at least five years of academic experience. The discussions will continue over dinner at a local restaurant. Dinner is graciously sponsored by the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy and Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management.

Participating distinguished BPS senior faculty members are: Phil Bromiley (University of California, Irvine), Catherine Dalton (Indiana University), Javier Gimeno (INSEAD), Duane Ireland (Texas A&M University), Dave Ketchen (Auburn University), Joe Mahoney, (University of Illinois), and Rita McGrath (Columbia University).
