E-Fest 2018 will be a celebration of undergraduate entrepreneurship. E-fest is open to Undergraduate college students from around the country. Finalists will have the chance to compete for over $250,000 in grants and scholarships at a three-day celebration of undergraduate entrepreneurship April 12-14, 2018 in Minneapolis.
E-Fest, sponsored by the Richard M. Schulze School of Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas, Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and EIX.org, a non-profit online platform for entrepreneurship education, will celebrate 25 student teams who submit the best business ideas in a preliminary competition. The event will feature workshops, a Pitch Competition, an Innovation Challenge and cash prizes for best international entry and the entry with the greatest potential positive social impact. The 25 student teams selected as semi-finalists will be provided airfare to Minneapolis and hotel.
Awarding Entrepreneurial Excellence
The top prize will be $75,000 with the potential for more based on winning the social impact or the international prize. In addition the Pitch Competition will award $17,500 in cash prizes and The Innovation Challenge will award $ 40,000.
e-Fest Grants
We are again proud to offer e-Fest development grants for 2018! First time recipients will receive $2,500, to be used to help develop e-Fest teams, entrepreneurship curricula, or support a local business concept competition or other entrepreneurship student activities. Schools that received development grants in 2017 are eligible for continuation grants of $1,500. Funds are limited and grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
How to Enter
Universities wishing to participate must register at EIX.org. Student teams must develop and submit a seven-minute video and 15-slide presentation detailing their business ideas by February 23, 2018. Complete entry information and contest rules are available in on https://eiexchange.com/e-fest
Please consider entering teams. This is far more than just a business plan competition. This is going to be a unique event. A real celebration of Undergraduate Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship Programs!
