2 Strategy/International Business Posts in Faculty of Management, Cass Business School, City, University of London (all tenure track);
Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Associate Professor)
The Faculty of Management at Cass Business School, City, University of London, is looking to recruit TWO faculty (lecturer/senior lecturer equivalent to assistant/associate professor) in the field of Strategy. The successful applicants will be expected to undertake research at the highest international standards, contribute to the teaching-education agenda, and contribute to the growth of the faculty's rising international profile in the field of Strategy. One of the two posts is reserved for a Strategy Scholar who can also demonstrate a capability and willingness to teach in the field of international business.
Cass Business School is among the global elite of business schools with accreditations from the AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. It is also a School within City, University of London, a university dedicated to serving business and the professions.
Strategy Research at Cass is undertaken by a high profile group of 12 faculty, 3 post-doctoral fellows and more than 20 PhDs. The established professors are: Charles Baden-Fuller (Subject Leader), Laure Cabantous, Stefan Haefliger (Associate Dean for People and Culture), Paula Jarzabkowski (Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise), Gianvito Lanzolla (Head of Management Faculty), Davide Ravasi (Head of Full time Management PhD Programme); with outstanding strategy faculty: Paolo Aversa (Director of Full Time MBA) Eugenia Cacciatori, Hans Frankort, Santi Furnari, Alessandro Giudici, Andres Hervas-Drane, Dzidziso (Sam) Kamuriwo (Director of MSc in International Business), Elena Novelli, and Simone Santoni, supported by 3 postdoctoral research fellows, and more than 15 full time and 5 executive PhDs mostly funded by Cass, and extensive international links with other leading strategy faculties. This group has published collectively in all the leading journals including: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Research Policy, Organization Studies, Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Organization, Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning. The group is active in the running of the leading professional associations of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. The strategy group's work is further underpinned by the long established research centers/hubs that look at the topics of business models, digital transformation, strategy-as-practice, supported by more than £4 millions of research grants won over recent years from RCUK, EPSRC, ESRC, British Academy, and EU.
Cass is also known for its attention to the education agenda. Of particular relevance is the fact that Strategy teaching was ranked by the Financial Times as No 1 in the world in 2017, and in the top 10 in the world three times in the last decade.

Job Requirements
Candidates should have completed a PhD in a relevant discipline. Consideration will be given to Lectureship candidates who are close to completing a PhD.
Candidates are expected to have published or aim to publish research of world-leading or internationally excellent quality.
Candidates are expected to have experience or demonstrable ambition of delivering outstanding education and of contributing to a high quality student experience.
