  • 1.  Designing a New Strategy Implementation Elective

    Hi everyone,

            I am designing a new elective for our business school, which will focus on strategy implementation (first I will design an MBA version, then an undergrad version).

            I recall attending an AOM PDW a few years ago on this topic, where a lot of good information was shared. In fact, I thought that some of that information and sample syllabi had been posted, but I searched the Academy's website and couldn't find anything.

            So if any of you have any information or suggestions you could send me re this topic -- possible textbooks, cases, readings for a coursepack, or sample syllabi  -- any such information would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Willow

    You could try Exploring Strategic Change, Balogun and Hope Hailey, Prentice Hall. The third edition is due to be published within the next few weeks. This is a text that focuses specifically on strategy implementation.
