Survey on Teaching Strategic Management

  • 1.  Survey on Teaching Strategic Management

    Posted 03-13-2019 15:35
How has teaching Strategic Management changed over the years? What topics and content are now most important to cover? What are the most popular cases to use? How do instructors deal with breadth versus depth of coverage? To what extent are digital technology and online capabilities used in teaching Strategic Management?

Ten years ago we surveyed members of the Academy's BPS Division to learn about these and other questions, and to gain insight on how teaching strategy had kept pace with developing theory in the field. The results of this prior study were subsequently presented at the Academy's annual meeting and shared with the teaching task force of the Strategic Management Society.

Ten years on, our new survey seeks to identify what has since changed, and what remains central and enduring in teaching Strategic Management.

You are invited to participate in this survey, by clicking on the link below. All responses will remain completely anonymous. We again intend to share a summary of findings with the Strategic Management community.
