invites applications for a
Junior Professorship in Project Management (W 1)
The successful applicant will be required to assume responsibilities in research and teaching in the area named above. The professorship is co-sponsored by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement (GPM), Member of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). Appointment requirements are governed by Article 102a of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
The successful candidate will have an outstanding track record of university teaching and research activities (preferably internationally) in the field of management, especially in the field of project management and must be able to teach in German. She or he will evince deep knowledge in the social science approaches to management and organisational theory. Additionally, she or he will be familiar with qualitative and/or quantitative methods of empirical management and organisation research. Experience with grant-sponsored projects that are research oriented is required. Applicants should be interested in interdisciplinary collaboration.
The appointee will especially be committed to the research and teaching of project management, participate in the undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as in the structured doctoral education. Furthermore, the junior professor will include gender and diversity topics in her or his activities.
The junior professor will be appointed as a civil servant for an initial period of three years. Provided that her or his performance is thereafter evaluated positively, employment may be extended for three more years.
