McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for a tenured position (Associate or Full Professor) in the Strategy & Organization Area.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative, high quality research; design and deliver courses in undergraduate and masters programs; work actively to train and develop doctoral students; and take on leadership roles within the Faculty.
McGill is a leading research-intensive university located in the heart of Montreal, a cosmopolitan, bilingual city with a diverse and vibrant cultural life. The Desautels Faculty of Management has over 70 full-time professors and over 3000 students in the BCom, MBA, and PhD programs, as well as a range of executive offerings. Faculty members in the Strategy & Organization Area conduct research with a variety of approaches in strategy, organization theory, international business, innovation, and entrepreneurship, including on management in developing and transition economies, not-for-profit organizations, and environmental and social issues. Professors have a range of disciplinary backgrounds, and enjoy a high level of independence in their research and teaching endeavors. McGill's emphasis is on quality, innovation, and impact.

We seek candidates with a strong record of research publication, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and clear promise of continuing a high-impact, innovative research agenda.
Minimum qualifications: (1) Ph.D. degree in Management, Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Theory, or a related field; (2) a strong record of research publication and evidence of impact; and (3) evidence of effective teaching.

Applications should include: (1) a cover letter briefly outlining teaching and research interests; (2) current curriculum vitae; and (3) documentation of teaching effectiveness. Short listed candidates will be asked to submit samples of current research and have three referees send letters of reference under separate cover.
