California State University, San Marcos invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Strategy and Strategy/Entrepreneurship beginning fall 2011. Preference is for the Assistant/Associate level, but all ranks will be considered. Candidates with successful experience teaching the core Strategy course will be given preference for both positions. The ideal candidate for the Strategy position would demonstrate, in addition to teaching excellence, meaningful and programmatic research in the field of strategy. The ideal candidate for the Strategy /Entrepreneurship position would also demonstrate experience in research, teaching and/or practice in entrepreneurship. There is an expectation that the faculty member will be an active contributor in developing a new and growing program. Teaching responsibilities will include both undergraduate and MBA courses.
Applicants should possess an appropriate doctorate from an AACSB accredited university and demonstrate teaching excellence, the ability to launch and sustain quality research and the desire to be involved with the business community. Strong ABD candidates will be considered.
California State University San Marcos, founded in 1989, is a rapidly growing university with a current enrollment of over 9,700 students and is projected to continue to grow. Strategy faculty reside in the Management and Marketing department with fourteen collegial tenure-track faculty who offer opportunities to work collaboratively in teaching and research.
