9th Midwest Strategy Meeting, May 23-24, 2018
Call for Papers
We are happy to formally announce the call for papers for the 9th annual Midwest Strategy Meeting (MSM), to be held at the University of Nebraska, May 23-24 (Wed/Thur), 2018
About MSM:
The MSM is an annual forum for Midwestern strategy scholars to interact and comment on each other's research. Some of the goals are to:
1) Focus on untenured faculty and early stage research,
2) Provide high quality feedback with longer presentations than most conferences,
3) Develop a regional community of friendly reviewers and collaborators, and
4) Expose Ph.D. students to prominent strategy scholars in the region.
Organization:
Untenured professors are encouraged to submit a paper that is a work-in-progress (non-published papers only). A number of tenured faculty members will serve as discussants and offer constructive project-specific advice. The sessions will begin after lunch on Wednesday and continue through lunch on Thursday. We will cover the cost of all meals and each presenter's accommodations for Wednesday night in vibrant downtown Lincoln (http://downtownlincoln.org/explore/explore.html).
Submission Guidelines:
We welcome papers from a variety of theoretical perspectives and research methods. Please send your electronic submission to jobrien27@unl.edu by Monday, April 2nd, 2018. Authors will be notified of decisions and additional details on the conference shortly thereafter.
We hope you will submit a paper or join us in May 2018! Also, if you are tenured faculty member and would like to attend and volunteer as a discussant, please contact a member of the organizing committee so we can plan for attendance. Doctoral students are also encouraged to attend and learn from this developmental experience.
Sincerely,
Jonathan O'Brien
