The Management Department at the Ourso College of Business at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Louisiana</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">State</st1:placetype> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> is offering a special PhD assistantship to support an incoming student for Fall, 2007. This assistantship is intended to support a student interested in pursuing doctoral studies in the area of corporate governance. Potential applicants can approach this issue from the perspective of strategic management, organizational behavior, organizational theory, international business, or other management discipline.
The assistantship provides an annual stipend of $25,000 which may be renewed for four consecutive years. A tuition exemption is also provided, but students are responsible for University fees. Assistantship holders must maintain a 3.5 overall and semester GPA.
Although preference will be given to current or returning <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:state w:st="on">Louisiana</st1:state></st1:place> residents, the award decision will be based upon student qualifications, potential, and relevance of the proposed program of study to the objective of the fellowship.
