    My sincere apologies for cross-postings to multiple listservs.

    - Two tenure-track positions in Management, all ranks considered
    - Evidence or promise of scholarly research; strategic management, organizational behavior, human resource management, or general management teaching interests

    The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Management and Marketing invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Management beginning in January or August 2009.  One of the anticipated openings is for the Hattiesburg campus and one is for the Gulf Coast campus.  All ranks will be considered.  Candidates must have earned doctorates in management at the time of appointment and should demonstrate strong evidence or promise of scholarly research and effective teaching. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas is necessary:  (Hattiesburg position) human resource management or organizational behavior; (Gulf Park position) general management or management strategy.  Candidates interested in a balance among teaching, research and service are encouraged to apply.  The University of Southern Mississippi is a Carnegie doctoral/research-extensive and four-year Class 1 Southern Regional Education Board institution with an enrollment of approximately 15,000.  The College of Business has a student enrollment of about 2,000 and a full-time faculty of 65; it is AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and master's levels.  The Hattiesburg Metropolitan Statistical Area is the southern Mississippi regional center for educational, medical, and retail services.  Additionally, the regional campuses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast have more than 1,500 students, of whom 450 are in business disciplines.  The Gulf Coast is a major tourism center and hub of economic activity with a population of more than 500,000.  Applicants should send a vita and letter of application to David Duhon, Department of Management and Marketing, The University of Southern Mississippi, 118 College Drive #5077, Hattiesburg, MS 39406-0001.  Applications must be received by November 3, 2008 to ensure full consideration; however, applications will be received until the positions are filled.  AA/EOE/ADAI
