    I am introducing the Five Forces model to students.

    In addition to going through and discussing the model- I wanted to give them an example of a real one.

    Is anyone aware of a "real-world" fives forces analysis (in the public domain) which is available? Maybe about 5-10 pages worth.

    Thanks in advance.

    Two places. In my case book Winning Moves Marsh Publication
    www.marshpub.com I have an excellent case set up as a five force example.
    The case is Barnes and Noble vs. Amazon.com. In addition on my class
    website there is an example of a well-done strategic analysis, an analysis
    done by my students on Pilgrim's Pride and Tyson's Food, which does a
    pretty good job of doing a five force analysis. You can access the
    Pilgrim's Pride versus Tyson's Food analysis by going to the website for my
    class https://apps.csom.umn.edu/classnet/class.cfm?cid=52812.best, Alfie

    Tom Hench (Feb 18m 2006) recommended Andy Grove's (1994) "Only the
    Paranoid Survive," as an example of strategic inflection
    points/complexity. Grove offers a "six forces" framework using Porter's
    five-forces model and incorporating complementarity to the strategy map.
    He then provides an analysis of Intel based on this.
