Assistant Professor of Health Care Management
Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management is seeking candidates for a full – time tenure track Assistant Professor of Health Care Management position beginning in August 2015. The Helzberg School of Management is accredited through AACSB International and is the only accredited private institution in the area.
Rockhurst University's business school offers undergraduate and master’s level business programs, including an executive MBA program. The Helzberg School of Business is AACSB accredited with more than 40 full and part-time faculty. Our part-time MBA program in management has been ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and is the top ranked program in Kansas City.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties):
The appointment has a 3/3 course load with the primary responsibility of teaching health care and other courses in our MBA, MA in Management and our dual DO/MBA programs. In addition, candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level and in related business school fields.
Responsibilities include: teaching graduate/undergraduate courses, scholarship, collaborating with others, and advising students. Rockhurst University and the Helzberg School require a strong commitment to high quality teaching, scholarship, as well as service to the university, school, and the external community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or earned doctorate in Health Care, Health Care Management, or a related field (exceptional ABDs are encouraged to apply, but would be required to complete their degrees within one year from the time of their appointment).
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Training and Experience):
Specialties and research interest in two or more of the following areas: health care policy, health care systems, health informatics, practice management, or quality.
