  • 1.  SMS session on Simulation-supported classes

I am putting together a panel for the Teaching track at the SMS Conference in Rome, Sept 12-15 – Bringing Strategy Classes to Life with Simulations. It would be helpful to the audience if we could get as diverse a view of 'simulations' as possible, ranging from pencil-paper exercises right up to full-scale, complex computer games.

So – I would be interested in hearing from anyone attending SMS who uses simulations of any type to support strategy teaching, including home-made stuff, with a brief note of what they use.

    Many thanks – Kim Warren

    Hi Kim,

JetFighter simulates an assembly line firm to teach value chain analysis. The best part is that it encourages students to use VCA to generate novel strategies for their firms.

I would be interested in other simulations once you have a list as I will not be attending SMS due to financial constraints.

    Cheers,

    Norman
