    Texas State University will soon be posting for a tenure-track position in strategic management, available at either the assistant or associate professor rank.  At the forthcoming Academy of Management meetings, members of the search committee will be holding a limited number of informal meetings regarding the position.  If you wish to be considered for an AoM meeting please email a copy of your curriculum vitae to Dr. Eric Kirby at egkirby@txstate.edu.  A detailed position announcement with application information will soon be available.

     

    Position Description:

     

    Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate management courses in the area of strategic management at the main campus and the Round Rock campus; conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research; and providing service to the profession, the University, and the business community that is consistent with the college mission.


    Qualifications:


    Required:  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in strategic management (or closely related business area) from an AACSB accredited school; ABDs will be considered depending on their program completion date.  Appointment at the associate rank requires an established research record, demonstrated teaching and service accomplishments, and appropriate time in rank as an assistant professor.

     

    Preferred:  Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarly research.

The Emmett and Miriam McCoy College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and is housed in a new, state of the art building that opened in 2006.
