CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2012 BPS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE & ASSISTANT PROGRAM CHAIR
Please consider contributing to the effective leadership of the Business Policy and Strategy Division (BPS) by nominating people to run for election as a BPS Executive Committee Member or Assistant Program Chair in 2012. The Academy of Management nomination site will open Jan. 17 to accept BPS division nominations; the nominations site will close on Feb. 15. Please review the instructions below before submitting your nominations.
Executive Committee: The Division membership will elect six members to the BPS Division's Executive Committee during Spring 2012 elections. We are seeking nominations from the BPS membership. To appear on the ballot, individuals must receive nominations from at least 10 other BPS members in good standing.
Assistant Program Chair: The Division membership will elect the Assistant Program Chair during Spring 2012 voting. We are also seeking nominees for this position. Nominees for Assistant Program Chair must have served previously on the BPS Executive Committee. In this case, we will list individuals on the ballot if they have served on the Executive Committee and receive nominations from at least 20 other BPS members in good standing.
Nomination Guidelines: Nominees will stand for election in the spring provided that they: 1) are members in good standing of the BPS division, 2) are nominated by other BPS members as indicated above, 3) meet the requirements for the position (see above), and 4) agree to run for office. The Spring 2012 ballot will include all valid nominations. If there are not enough valid nominations to complete the ballot, additional nominations will be made by the current Executive Committee.
