I am contacting you in regards to a research project being conducted at the Institute for Simulation and Training (IST), a research lab at the University of Central Florida. This research is being conducted by Chris Coultas under the direction of Drs. Shawn Burke and Eduardo Salas. The project is testing a series of propositions that have been put forth regarding leadership functions within teams and the source of leadership which might be best positioned to engage in such activities. In an effort to explore this question we have developed a brief online survey (approximately 30 minutes) which is set up as a series of vignettes. We would be very grateful for your permission to send out the letter below to members of the listserv, which includes a link that will allow them to take the online survey at their convenience.
