Assistant/Associate Endowed Chair Entrepreneurship Center Director
The John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics at Weber State University (WSU) seeks to hire a mid-career Endowed Entrepreneurship Center Director to lead its Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center. The center consists of an Entrepreneurship minor serving all of WSU's 26,000 students. The center has a substantial annual endowment that allows for approximately $100,000/year to help fund student startups. The Goddard School has also constructed a new Bill Child Startup Center where students meet to work on their ventures with the help of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence who donate consulting time for students. The Goddard School also houses the Weber Entrepreneurs Association (WEA), whose former and current members have a long history of successful startups.
This is a full time administrative and teaching position, with a 2/2 course load (for tenure-track appointments). The ideal candidate will be an established mid-career professional (e.g., comparable to an Associate Professor rank).
The starting date for the position is July 1, 2017 (an earlier start may be possible).

The Goddard School is committed to academic excellence as evidenced by its AACSB accreditation, and its students regularly achieve mean scores above the 90th percentile nationally on the ETS Major Field Exams at both undergraduate business and MBA levels.

To apply, complete the online faculty/staff data form and attach: (1) a current resume or curriculum vita; (2) a cover letter that includes a statement of interest and personal teaching and business philosophy; (3) summaries of student course evaluations or other evidence of teaching effectiveness; (4) transcripts showing graduate course work and degrees earned; and (5) the names of three references with contact information.
Screening of applications will begin August 20, 2016 and will remain open until filled.
