If you're a PhD student or faculty member who wants to build confidence and level up your empirical skills, then come join us for the "Best Methods Bootcamp"!
Focus: Why do regression estimates go wrong and what can we do about it? (syllabus here). When: June 1-5, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM EDT (via Zoom)
Apply by: May 25, 2026 (application form here, registration link here) Cost: $995
By focusing on problems first, we generate a deep understanding of what can go wrong and how.
Then we discuss several core solutions-when they work, and when they don't, and which problems they can and cannot solve.
Along the way we cover practical topics like clustering standard errors, interpreting non-linear models, data visualization, and heterogenous treatment effects. We provide all the code for each day and access to all recordings.
The course is designed to accommodate skills of all types, including and perhaps especially those who do not have advanced math backgrounds.
We look forward to seeing you on June 1!
Best,
Evan Starr, David Waguespack, and Brent Goldfarb
