Attention, @aom_str! The Teaching subcommittee of the Academy of Management's STR Division is offering TWO Professional Development Workshops focused on teaching in the discipline of Strategic Management.

On Friday, we offer "STR Teaching Clinic: Balancing Excellence in Teaching, Research, and Service" (Session 92, 10:15-12:15 CT, Sheraton: Sheraton Ballroom III). Please join Nicholas Argyres, Jay Barney, Russell Coff, and Melissa Schilling for a conversation on achieving a balance between teaching, research, and service to advance your career and maintain your personal well-being in academia. This workshop aims to provide perspectives on this challenge, emphasizing the synergies between excellence in teaching and other academic roles. Shareable link: https://cdmcd.co/qdmp7L

On Saturday, we offer "STR Teaching Clinic: Unlocking the potential of AI in strategic management education" (Session 263, 08:00-10:00 CT, Sheraton: Chicago Ballroom X). John Burr and Yong Li offer insights into how artificial intelligence can transform your classroom. Beyond merely automating basic tasks, imagine posing nuanced, real-time simulations to students, using data analysis to personalize learning journeys, or creating interactive case studies that adapt to individual decisions. You will have the chance to work in groups to develop an idea for AI application in the strategic management classroom. Shareable link: https://cdmcd.co/vaBgKB

These PDWs should interest members of STR, TIM, SIM, OMT, ENTIM, MED, MC, and SAP

We look forward to seeing you at these STR Division service PDWs this week.

Your PDW organizers: Craig Armstrong and Konstantina Kiousis.
