Please consider joining the AOM 2023 PDW on "Interdisciplinary Conversations on Platforms: Strategic Roles of Digital Resources" co-organized by Kimmo Karhu, Mikko Heiskala, Hakan Özalp, and Christina Kyprianou.
In its second year running, this year's PDW spotlights the specific and strategic role of digital resources in the platform economy. We will explore the topic together with you-the audience-and our amazing set of presenters and discussants: Carliss Baldwin, Prof. Annabelle Gawer, Christopher Tucci, Marshall Van Alstyne, Ola Henfridsson, Panos Constantinides, and Georgios Petropoulos.
During the session, we will cover four topics each featuring a distinct digital aspect of the platform economy:
- Digital boundary resources for inverting the firm
- Smart contracts for algorithmic enforcement of reciprocal exchange
- The role of data and network effects on competition in digital markets
- Digital and decentralized market infrastructures for reducing misinformation
