Dear colleagues,
As AI becomes an increasingly transformative force globally, management research must evolve to reflect its adoption and impact across diverse cultural, institutional, and economic environments.
We (Vivianna Fang, Kenneth Huang, Yu Zhang) are thrilled to be co-organizing a PDW at AOM on AI-Related Management Research beyond the U.S. Contexts. Our PDW will showcase latest research not only from the U.S., but also from China, Germany and Turkey.
馃搮 When: July 26, Saturday, 14:45-16:45
馃搷 Where: Bella Center in Hall D- D3-m10
AOM short link for details: https://cdmcd.co/Rxzdb8
We'll tackle a few key questions:
路 How do AI applications differ across regions and industries?
路 Are U.S.-based AI studies transferable to non-U.S. settings?
路 What are the unique opportunities and constraints for AI in developing economies and labor-intensive markets?
Panelists include:
路 Prithwiraj Choudhury (HBS) on Digital Twins in Turkish power generation
路 Kenneth G. Huang (NUS) on AI innovation under geopolitical disruption
路 Rob Seamans (NYU) on AI's differential effects across labor markets
路 Yu Zhang (Alibaba Group) on GenAI and productivity in professional sales
路 Vivianna Fang He (UCL) on human professionals' learning from AI in cancer diagnosis

We look forward to engaging with scholars and practitioners interested in building a truly global research agenda for AI in management. If you are at AOM this year, come join us for a dynamic discussion!
