The Management Department in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Strategic Management, beginning as early as August 2026.
The department currently has 11 tenure-track management faculty who consistently publish in premier research journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Applied Psychology as well as many other highly-ranked scholarly outlets. Members of our faculty currently serve as Associate Editors or on editorial boards of leading journals. Our department was ranked in the Top 20 in the TAMUGA rankings in three of the last four years with a 5-year average rank of 25th among all management departments in the country.
Qualifications: By Fall 2026, candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Management or a related field. Candidates for the position should demonstrate strong research potential, preferably with an established record of top-tier publication activity. We expect faculty members to pursue an active research program, help supervise doctoral students, and perform either undergraduate or graduate-level teaching. We have a strong preference for candidates who are pursuing high-impact research and who can work well with others in our collegial department.
