    Position Summary

    Expanding on its successful MBA programs with the addition of a new Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. This position will teach four classes per year, with classes scheduled in two of our three semesters. The appointment is to begin in August 2023.

    While this is an entry-level tenure-track position, we will consider applications from Assistant Professors with some full-time experience. Salary is competitive with similar AACSB accredited institutions and commensurate with experience, teaching, and research record.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Successful candidates will have an earned doctorate in entrepreneurship, strategy, or a related field before appointment, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. The successful candidate will also have the ability to develop and teach undergraduate and MBA courses and the motivation to pursue scholarly work independently and collaboratively. We prefer candidates with demonstrated or potential ability to teach entrepreneurship and strategy courses; industry experience is an added plus. Applicant must have the ability to reside in Oregon by the first day of employment or otherwise perform work primarily in Oregon.

    Candidates should complete and submit their application by the end of the day on September 1st to ensure full consideration. Search committee members will attend the Academy of Management conference in Seattle, Washington, August 5-9th and are available to talk with individuals interested in the position.
