The position
The Faculty of Economics of USI provides a young and dynamic environment with strong research competencies in the areas of economics, finance, and management. The Assistant Professor (tenure track) position is affiliated with the Institute of Management and Organization (IMO), which coordinates research and teaching in the field of management (for more information, see https://imo.usi.ch/en).
The candidate's profile
The ideal candidate holds a research focus in any area of Management (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Operations, Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, Strategy, Technology and Innovation, etc.). We are looking for ambitious candidates who can publish in top-tier journals, acquire competitive grants, and teach in a multicultural environment. The new professor is expected to contribute to undergraduate, master, and PhD programs, supervise doctoral students, and actively participate in the development of the Institute, the Faculty, and the University.

Teaching load
The teaching load for an Assistant Professor is 11ECTS per year, about 90/120 teaching hours per year.
Residence
Professors typically reside in the Ticino Canton, which is part of the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland. The new professor is expected to provide consistent participation in the academic and institutional activities of the university.
Salary and contract
The salary is within a range established by the University regulations, and it is competitive with top European institutions. The exact amount will be defined depending on experience and academic qualifications.
