The International Conference on Digital Organizations (ICODO) to be held at the IIM Ahmedabad campus on 8th and 9th January 2023. ICODO includes a doctoral workshop scheduled on 11th November 2022. The doctoral workshop is going to provide a platform for the doctoral students to share their research work and obtain feedback from the leading researchers and peers. They will also get to network and connect with the research community in their chosen area. The Doctoral Workshop is designed to enable doctoral students working on the broader issues around digital transformation and digital strategies. The workshop is open to all full-time PhD students of recognized universities from India and abroad. We may allow part-time PhD students also in the future. 

We invite doctoral students working on various topics on the interface of digital technologies and business management to apply for this workshop. Some of the topics that we hope to receive applications from are as follows:

1. Governance, Strategy, and Value of IS 

2. Information Systems and Future of Work

3. Digital Networks and Communities 

4. Sharing Economy, Platforms, and Crowds 

5. Digital technology driven entrepreneurship and New Business Models

6. Cybersecurity and Privacy Concerns

7. Digital and Mobile Commerce

8. IS Design and Human-Technology Interaction

9. Digital Sustainability

10. Digital Banking and Future of Payments

11. Digital Tools for AI 

12. Ethics of Digital technology

13. Use of Digital technologies for large scale impact on social and environmental change

14. Digital tools for improved manufacturing productivity (Industry 4.0)

15. Digital marketing tools for customer acquisition and enhanced customer experience

This is an indicative list and by no means exhaustive. Doctoral students working on any other topics related to digital transformation and innovation are welcome to apply.

Key Features of the Doctoral Workshop

The doctoral workshop will host upto 30 doctoral students who will get feedback from senior scholar mentors and peers. Prof. Atreyi Kankanhalli and Prof. Anand Gopal will be the senior scholar mentors for the 2022 workshop.

Scholarships

All selected doctoral students will be eligible for travel bursaries/scholarships covering expenses to travel within India to attend the ICODO doctoral workshop. 

Important Dates

• Deadline for submission: September 30, 2022

• Notification of acceptance: October 15, 2022

• Final submission of the paper for Best Doctoral Dissertation Award: December 31, 2022
