    Dear STR Community Members,

I am writing to invite you to contribute to the HICSS-59 minitrack on 'Managing Platforms & Ecosystems'. This minitrack marks the eleventh successful year of exploring the critical role of platforms and ecosystems in the digital age.

Find the full CFP here: https://sust.ris.uni-due.de/research/conferences/hicss/ (deadline: 15.06)

Understanding how organizations compete and thrive today requires a keen understanding of platforms and ecosystem. Digital technologies have fostered new complementarities across industries, and the increasing platformization of firms has significant implications for value creation and capture. In this "digital first" economy, transaction and innovation platforms have become dominant.

We are also excited to offer a fast-track option for selected papers to Electronic Markets (Impact Factor: 7.1)!

Our minitrack provides a forum to address new phenomena, empirics, methods, and theories related to platforms and ecosystems. We welcome contributions that build on diverse theoretical backgrounds, including management science, information systems, computer science, decision science, system science, organizational design, policymaking, and behavioral economics. We encourage a wide range of methodologies, including empirical research, case-based research, field studies, design science, behavioral decision-making experiments, and conceptual research.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    • Platforms & Ecosystems + Data, Analytics, and AI
    • Platforms & Ecosystems + Global Grand Challenges
    • Platforms & Ecosystems + Innovation, Policy, and Purpose
    • Platforms & Ecosystems + New Methodological Approaches

We encourage you to submit your best work and contribute to the advancement of research in this important domain.
