wISE Scholarship in Oceania - Fostering the Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship Community
Macquarie Business School (MQBS) would like to invite you to join us for our inaugural wISE 2023 Conference, wISE Scholarship in Oceania – Fostering the Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship Community, co-hosted by Strategic Management (STR), a Division of the Academy of Management, and The Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship (ISE) Research Group at MQBS.
This research-focused conference will take place at the Macquarie University city campus in which scholars will come together to support the STR #STRongerTogether initiative and the development of wISE scholarship in Oceania. The purpose of this conference is to help develop scholarly research, provide advice on the publication process, and provide an opportunity for strategic management scholars at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship research to engage with each other and the broader strategy research community in Oceania.

The two-day event will comprise a PhD workshop and traditional paper development and presentation sessions. This will be a ticketed event at AUD$150 + GST per person.

Paper submission closes: 15 January 2023
Authors notified of outcomes: 1 February 2023
Registration closes: 28 February 2023
SELECTION PROCESS
PhD/ECR PDW
Please send (a) a current CV and (b) an extended abstract of a paper (up to eight pages including references, tables, and figures) (including all authors and their contact details), which you plan to submit to a peer-reviewed research journal to wISE@mq.edu.au" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wISE@mq.edu.au with the subject line indicating "ISE PhD/ECR". Scholars admitted to the PDW will be notified by February 1.
Conference
Presenters will be selected based on their manuscript submissions. You can attend the conference without presenting a paper. Your submission should be sent to wISE@mq.edu.au" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wISE@mq.edu.au. Please include the following (in one single word file):
- Please follow AOM guidelines: https://aom.org/docs/default-source/events/sample_submission_paper.pdf. No submission number required.
- Cover page (including all authors and their contact details)
- Working paper (up to 40 pages pages including references, tables, and figures). Papers should include research questions addressed, theory/literature review, hypotheses/propositions, research design, and expected results and contribution to scholarship in strategy, innovation and/or entrepreneurship literature(s)
- Stream that you would prefer presenting in (Innovation Strategy Entrepreneurship)
