We are organizing a space-related panel symposium at the AOM conference. If you are interested in research on complementary technologies and the so-called New Space (incl. NASA, SpaceX, Rocket Lab etc.), please join us on Monday 28th July at 12:00-1:30pm in Hall C- C3-m7 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen! Registration is not necessary.
Due to decreasing launch costs, private enterprise engagement, and rapidly improving technologies, space has become relevant for a multitude of industries from pharmaceuticals and consumer goods to insurance and manufacturing. Planned moon landings, crewed missions to Mars, and a vibrant Earth orbit space economy are not possible without a multitude of technologies. Our symposium brings together experienced scholars to discuss the "New Space Age" and the implications for both theory and practice in strategic management, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Our stellar panel(!) will share their experiences from different perspectives (organizational learning, industry evolution, innovation ecosystems, technology strategy) and discuss questions regarding recent developments and academic publishing. The presentations are followed by a moderated discussion and the opportunity for the audience to ask questions and interact with the panelists.
Panelists:
JP Eggers, New York University
Mahka Moeen, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Rahul Kapoor, University of Pennsylvania
Francisco Polidoro, University of Texas at Austin
Organizers:
Petteri Leppänen (IE Business School)
Raja Roy (New Jersey Institute of Technology)
We look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
