We seek candidates with a strong commitment to research and teaching and the aspiration to contribute to Luiss University's international expansion and visibility.
Candidates must hold a PhD from a leading university, preferably have teaching experience, and a relevant record of publications and/or research projects.
Ideal candidates will show a passionate drive to engage in Luiss University's dynamic and stimulating academic environment and contribute to its further development. They will have research experience in strategy and intend to pursue research projects in the field, with a focus on strategy or corporate strategy. We seek applications from all areas of strategy, and in particular entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, CSR, sustainable strategies, technology and innovation management.
Luiss is firmly pursuing the "engaged scholarship" philosophy and the adoption of the "enquiry-based" approach. Ideal candidates must therefore be able to lead rigorous research activities on problems that are relevant for society at large, as well as informing their teaching with methods and content from first-hand research activities. They should also be able to master the ability of selectively "connecting the dots" between and across disciplinary domains, and possess the capacity to contribute to the formation of "specialized generalists", i.e., graduates able to navigate complexity and operate between and across knowledge domains. They will be able to teach and publish in English. They will also be able to teach in-presence, blended, and fully digital programs.
Role and Responsibilities
Luiss Assistant Professors are expected to undertake rigorous and innovative research in their field(s) of interest, publish in high quality international journals, and provide academic assistance or leadership in research activities. They are also expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual life of the University and of the Luiss community at large.
The position of Assistant Professor is for a three-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal/extension upon positive evaluation from the Department. The teaching load is 60, 90 or 120 hours per year, depending on the condition of engagement, either in undergraduate or graduate programs.
The position holder will also supervise master's dissertations and bachelor's papers and is expected to contribute to the doctoral program. Appointments are full-time and the salary is competitive.

The Department of Business and Management at Luiss is ranked among the QS World's top 60 for business and management studies. Primary areas of faculty research include accounting and performance measurement systems; business strategy, corporate strategy, international business, corporate governance; digital innovation and transformation; ethics, responsibility, and sustainability; finance and banking; innovation and industry evolution; law and economics; marketing and consumer behaviour; organisation theory and HRM; computer and data science; operations management, supply chain management, circular economy.
