I'm excited to announce the start of the 2nd EXTREME CONTEXT MENTORING PROGRAM dedicated to early-career researchers interested in extreme context (broadly defined), with a stellar set of mentors involved!

The program is designed to provide guidance and support to postdocs and junior faculty (non-tenured) as they navigate their academic and professional journeys and match them with an experienced scholar to meet twice a year (1-2h in total per year). Please, note this program is NOT for PhD students!
The basic idea is to have friendly conversations with an experienced expert in the field, to potentially help guide with questions you might be pondering about, and overall foster a culture of collaboration and support within our community.

Mentors involved: Alan Meyer, Renate E. Meyer, Fabrice Lumineau, Pursey Heugens, Tina Dacin, Shaz Ansari, Samer Faraj, Farah Kodeih, Emily Block, Claus Rerup, Maxim Voronov, Eero Vaara, Giulia Cappellaro, Pablo Munoz, Pablo Fernandez, Daniel Armanios, Oana Branzei, Derin Kent, Birthe Soppe, Markus Hällgren, Hari Bapuji, Anja Danner-Schröder, Lee Jarvis, Farooq Ahmad, Omid Omidvar, Dr. Lalatendu Kesari Jena, Chris Thomas, Rafael Alcadipani, Mark de Rond, Peter Martelli, April Wright and Daniel Geiger.

The program is going to start with the 1st meeting this fall/winter (2025), and the 2nd meeting in spring/summer (2026). Deadline for application is September 19! Link: https://shorturl.at/4aKWW

Please note that if the number of mentees exceeds the number of mentors, we might not be able to match each of you to your first-choice mentor or a mentor at all. However, we plan to run this mentoring program again in the future. If you have questions, feel free to reach out any time.

    All my best,
    Madeleine
