Dear colleagues,
On behalf of Industry and Innovation, we would like to bring to your attention the seventh and eighth issues of Industry and Innovation in 2025, featuring research at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness.
Issue 7 explores how firms and regions navigate digital transformation, industry evolution, and business cycles, adding insights on the human and institutional dimensions of innovation. It includes articles on the relationship between R&D investment and employees' labour market performance, the role of regional relatedness in digital technology adoption, public funding in the energy transition, and university–industry linkages in building resilience.
Issue 8 focuses on the dynamics of knowledge, talent, and collaboration in driving innovation and sustainability. Contributions analyze the connection between eco-innovation and employment in China, the impact of global high-skilled migration networks in host countries' knowledge production, the role of "star" inventors in team deference, and the relationship between co-mobility and employee career evolution after organizational failure. The issue also features a thought-provoking "target article" on using sports as a fertile context for strategy and innovation research, summarizing the key arguments discussed during one of the 2024 Druid Debates.
We hope you will enjoy the reading:
