The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by United Nations member states in 2015, provides a roadmap for peace and prosperity for all people on the planet. The key element of this project is the presence of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed to end poverty, improve health and education, reduce inequality, and push economic growth, all while preserving the environment and addressing climate change. It is the key global strategic objective of our times, and it is important for academia to contribute to this endeavor (Apostolopoulos, et al, 2018). The role of this PDW is to understand what the role of entrepreneurship and management scholarship in helping solve the grand challenges of our times and specifically the SDG goals. How can research and teaching help society understand the nature of these problems and provide theory-based approaches for solutions?
