    Dear Colleagues,

Are you attending the Academy of Management 2025 conference in Copenhagen?

📢 Join Us at AoM 2025!

Panel Symposium: Mission Possible – Experimental Infrastructures for Innovation Ecosystems
    🗓 Tuesday, July 27, 2025 | 8:30–10:00 AM CEST
📍 Bella Center, Auditorium 11, Copenhagen

Innovation ecosystems are essential for solving grand challenges like climate change and healthcare, which require collaboration across diverse actors and sectors. This interactive panel explores the role of Experimental Infrastructures (EIs)—such as testbeds, living labs, and demonstration plants—as crucial platforms for co-creation, learning, and scaling in mission-driven innovation.

    🔍 What We’ll Explore:

    • How EIs help organize, align, and scale innovations across diverse ecosystems
    • How they reduce innovation risk and foster experimentation
    • How social, political, and institutional dynamics shape their effectiveness
    • What future research is needed to enhance their impact

    🎤 Featuring Distinguished Panelists:

    • Carliss Baldwin (Harvard Business School): On platform architectures and selecting the “right” EI for a given grand challenge
    • Jennifer Woolley (Santa Clara University): On value-rational innovation and AI-enabled healthcare
    • Susanne Ollila (Chalmers University of Technology): On relational and political dynamics in collaborative innovation spaces

    🧠 Session Format:

A dynamic 90-minute panel including expert insights, interactive discussion, and open Q&A.
Moderated by Marcel Bogers, with insights from Discussant Hans Berends.

    💡 Why Attend?

If you work on open innovation, ecosystem governance, mission-oriented innovation, or institutional transformation, this session is for you. You'll gain theoretical insights and practical implications for designing and managing infrastructures that can help innovation ecosystems tackle the world’s most pressing problems.
