Session details: The session will include a panel discussion (one hour and fifteen minutes) and application-based roundtable discussions (one hour and fifteen minutes; by invitation only). A 30-minute break will be held in between. In the first portion, seven renowned scholars will share their experiences studying the recent emergence of new technologies. Among the seven of them, they will exhibit a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods of studying startups and/or established firms that fostered the emergence of various technologies. In the second portion, workshop participants will discuss their research and interests with panelists in roundtables. The roundtables will provide participants the opportunity to gain personalized feedback on their research ideas from faculty panelists.
