    Join Us in Copenhagen to Celebrate the 2025 STR Outstanding Dissertation Award Finalists

    I am thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2025 STR Outstanding Dissertation Award! Please join us in celebrating their achievements at the STR 2025 Best Dissertation Finalists' Presentations session at Bella Center: Hall C – C1-m1 on Monday, July 28th, from 3:00–4:45 PM, when each finalist will present a summary of their dissertation. The winner will be revealed immediately afterward during the STR Business Meeting, held in the same room from 5:00–6:00 PM.

    Being named a STR Outstanding Dissertation Award finalist is a prestigious honor, recognizing exceptional scholarly contributions to the field of strategic management. This year, we received 14 outstanding submissions, and these six finalists stood out in a highly competitive selection process led by the STR Research Committee and myself.

    Please join me in congratulating the six finalists (listed below in alphabetical order) for the 2025 STR Outstanding Dissertation Award:

    Hyuck David Chung (PhD from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), Assistant Professor of Business Administration at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Gies).     Camille Doche (PhD from HEC Paris), Assistant Professor in Management at ESCP Business School. Dissertation Title: "Essays on Cooperative Organizations and Collective Resources", Dissertation Chair: Olivier Chatain (HEC Paris)

    Patrick Hallila (PhD from Bayes Business School), Postdoctoral Researcher at Imperial Business School, Imperial College London. Dissertation Title: "Essays on Intrafirm and Interfirm Competition", Dissertation Co-chairs: Hans Frankort (Bayes Business School), Paolo Aversa (King's College London)

     

    Jino Lu (PhD from University of Southern California) Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis.
