In this panel, we seek to highlight opportunities for cross-disciplinary research of corporate strategy scholarship with scholarship in other areas. In practice, phenomena that were previously more defined are converging. Consider technology and innovation developments that are changing the boundaries of different industries and pushing firms to reshape their corporate and competitive strategy. Or how firms are leveraging corporate strategy to tap into talent and teams that would otherwise be difficult to hire. Or how in some industries, there is greater global integration and lower country barriers, changing the decision points for corporate strategy and resource allocation. The panel seeks to discuss how this changes in the phenomena create new opportunities for research and collaboration, and how this cross-disciplinary research could have an impact on practice.
