This session will focus on the microfoundations of Corporate Strategy – an important topic which has gained the increasing attention of strategy scholars over the last decade. The session will feature presentations of accomplished scholars with expertise in this domain, followed by a general discussion between the audience and the panelists. The presentations and discussions will focus on the various microfoundations (including managerial human capital, managerial cognition, corporate oversight and governance, etc.) of different aspects of corporate strategy (including corporate scope and diversification, corporate acquisitions, strategic alliances, firm market entry, divestitures, ownership structure, and innovation).
