Instructor – Management & Leadership
The Management Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a two-year, full-time Instructor of Management position. This appointment may be renewed, contingent on satisfactory performance, sufficient enrollment, and available funding. The position will begin Fall 2025.
We seek candidates with a strong record of professional experience in a managerial or leadership role, as well as experience developing and delivering (i.e., teaching, training) educational content in corporate and/or university settings. Competitive candidates will demonstrate the capability to teach students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the development of Omaha's workforce.
The successful candidate must be able to teach in-person courses in the general areas of Strategy, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior. Teaching needs include in-person undergraduate sections of Managing People and Organizations, Managing Behavior in Organizations, Managing Collaborative Engagement, Learning to Lead, as well as Corporate and Business Strategy. The candidate's preferences and experience will be considered when determining teaching responsibilities, which may also include graduate and online courses in the same areas.
A typical teaching load is four courses per semester. In addition to teaching, the individual hired will complete service responsibilities at the department, college, and university levels. There are no research expectations for this position.
Successful candidates will hold a master's degree in business administration, Management, Strategy, Leadership, Organizational Behavior or an equivalent from an AACSB accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience, experience with instruction and/or curriculum design, and/or a terminal degree (e.g. Ph.D., D.B.A., J.D., etc.).
